Victoria and Albert Museum

More photos from London. This time from the Victoria and Albert Museum. I think we worked our way around most of it, but it’s a big place and probably my favourite of the places visited. That’s probably because I was simply massively surprised by the diversity of the things they had to show.

This was because a few years ago I had to process 6,000 photos at work of the oil on canvas paintings that the Public Catalogue Foundation had taken of all of the paintings at the V&A. I had to spent a long time importing them into the Art Loss Register’s database. As a result, I had assumed wrongly that because they had so many paintings, there wouldn’t be any room for anything else so I just expected a massive building full of paintings… I was wrong, very wrong but pleasantly surprised.
